What I have done is to figure out a way to design a material so that no matter how it is supported or how it is loaded, the material will not break or fail until the load is sufficient to crush the material. |

This means that even if the material is used as a bridge or a span, when it is loaded it will not crack in the way a typical bridge or span will...
...but rather will ultimately fail only as the material is crushed by the load it has to bear. |
