Information Gathering
UniStates does not use cookies. UniStates collects your Internet Protocol (IP) address. An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. The IP address data that we collect does not contain any personally identifiable information about you and is used to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Website by identifying which parts of our site are most heavily used. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that user sessions will be tracked, but the users will remain anonymous.
Like most Web servers on the Internet, our server collects and stores all of the information that your Web browser sends when it requests a Web page, including:

Our server logs are periodically summarized and analyzed in order to study site usage over time and to perform other studies to help us improve the site's organization, performance, and usefulness.
Use of Information
UniStates staff uses the information gathered above to tailor site content to user needs and to generate aggregate statistical reports. At no time do we disclose site usage by individual IP addresses. Web server logs are retained on a temporary basis and then deleted completely from our systems. To the extent permitted by law, UniStates will not disclose to any third party any information it collects online without your permission. UniStates does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from any children under age 13.
Electronic Mail
When you send us personal identifying information via e-mail (that is, in a message containing a question or comment, or by filling out a form that e-mails us this information), we use it to respond to you. Information collected via e-mail will be retained at our discretion in a directly readable form. We do not retain or distribute to any parties lists of e-mail addresses.
