  • Reflexive Materials Technologies (RMT™ technologies) are a patented system for making better and less expensive products of all kinds - including components for cars, buildings, space shuttles, computers, and even human body parts!
  • RMT™ technologies are patented and patent pending worldwide. Most recently, the US Patent Office granted the Advanced Manufacturing Patent, which completes a rare patent trifecta covering the design, engineering, and manufacturing systems of RMT™ technologies.
  • The key to RMT™ technologies is the RMT™ framework. It is used to organize ordinary materials, such as metals and plastics, in a way that optimizes the strength and durability of these materials in industrial, commercial, and military products.
  • Ordinary materials that are enhanced with the RMT framework can be used to make stronger, lighter, safer, and more affordable products of all kinds. With RMT technologies, old products can be redesigned and new and better products can be created.
  • The RMT framework works with virtually all types of sturdy materials, including metals, plastics, alloys, ceramics, and composite materials systems.
  • RMT technologies improve the way a product performs by incorporating pores, or voids, into the body of the product. Installing these voids inside the product gives the product an internal framework, or skeleton, which is the RMT framework.
  • RMT technologies cause products made with ordinary materials to perform better by using voids to transform the way these products are permitted to react to pressure caused by the forces of bending, stretching, and squeezing, among others.
  • The voids are inside RMT Precision materials and RMT™ Informed products and structures, so everything from cars and planes to roads and buildings look the same, but are lighter and perform better when engineered and manufactured with RMT technologies.
  • RMT technologies are adapted from nature, which is where the idea of using pores to form a skeleton originated. The RMT framework, or skeleton, makes materials stand up better to the pressures of load, like the human skeleton reinforces human bodies under the pressure of gravity, for example.
  • Products that do not need to be stronger and tougher can simply be made lighter and less expensive with RMT technologies.
  • RMT technologies are not a foaming technology, although they uses pores. RMT technologies use entirely different techniques and incorporate symmetrically distributed voids, or pores, inside products. A key difference is that the voids are not distributed randomly like the asymmetrical porosity in foams; instead, the voids are distributed in a precise order inside a product.
  • RMTSM manufacturing technologies are a major breakthrough because they install any number of voids in products at the same time the products are being made.
  • The voids are created in situ, during manufacturing, by using RMT™ beaded filaments (or strings of beads), for example, according to one of the techniques in the newly granted Advance Manufacturing Patent. Each bead is placed precisely in a predetermined location inside a product to give it the RMT™ framework and, thus, assure its superior performance.
  • RMT™ technologies can be used at virtually any scale, because RMT™ beaded filaments can be produced with beads that are as small as only a few nanometers in diameter.
  • RMT technologies operate independent of scale, with the same effect, whether the size of an RMT™ Informed product or structures is at the microscopic scale or at the human-made macroscopic scale, or larger.
  • RMT technologies yield tremendous benefits in terms of product performance, materials conservation, energy savings, and environmental protection.
  • Depending on the material used, mechanical testing and computer modeling indicate that RMT™ technologies make products 1.5X to 2.0X stronger and that at least 25% upward to 50% less material is required to make RMT Precision materials and RMT™ Informed products and structures that outperform today’s versions. For more data, see the "Expert Summary of RMT™ Technologies."
  • RMT Precision materials and RMT™ Informed products and structures are expected to have a significant impact in the aerospace, automotive, electronic, construction, and many other industries throughout the world where there is a need for cost-effective, high strength-to-weight ratio performance.
  • RMT2322™ software reduces the time, complexity, and skills required for the concurrent engineering of RMT Precision materials and RMT™ Informed products and structures and collateral manufacturing systems.
  • RMTSM manufacturing technologies usually require only modest modifications to conventional manufacturing plants and facilities and rely on only conventional processes with predictable processing variables.
  • UniStates is a 18 year-old private US technology company with the right to commercialize RMT technologies.
